About the Role:

We are looking for a strong
Hands-on Java Lead Engineer
with deep expertise in
Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Cloud-ready architecture
. This role requires excellent coding skills, leadership capabilities, and hands-on involvement in designing, developing, and delivering scalable backend systems.

The ideal candidate will mentor the team, drive best practices, and ensure high-quality technical output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of
    Java-based microservices
    using Spring Boot.
  • Write clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable code with hands-on involvement.
  • Drive
    architecture discussions
    , solution design, and technical decision-making.
  • Ensure microservices are
    scalable, secure, resilient, and optimized
    .
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams for end-to-end delivery.
  • Implement and enforce
    best practices
    , coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
  • Manage sprint planning, task delegation, and technical deliverables.
  • Perform code reviews and guide developers to improve code quality.
  • Work with
    SQL databases
    , caching, messaging systems, and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement robust monitoring and logging.
  • Stay updated with modern Java and backend ecosystem improvements.

Required Skills:

Core Technical Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience in
    Java 8+
  • Expert in
    Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data
  • Proven expertise in
    Microservices Architecture
  • Experience with
    RESTful APIs
    , JSON, API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)
  • Deep understanding of
    SQL databases
    (PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with
    message brokers
    like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ
  • Strong in
    JPA/Hibernate
    , ORM, transaction management
  • Familiarity with
    Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git
  • Experience working with
    cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
    is a plus
  • Knowledge of
    unit testing
    (JUnit, Mockito)
