Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting Tradespeople: Supporting qualified tradespeople with various tasks and projects, holding materials, positioning components, and other hands-on help.
  • Work Area Preparation: Setting up and maintaining work areas, ensuring tools and equipment are clean and ready for use.
  • Material Handling: Performing basic measurements and material handling, including manual labor and moving materials to job sites.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to all workplace health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
  • General Labor: Performing a variety of general labor duties such as cleaning, site cleanup, and rubbish removal. Learning and Skill Development: Gaining on-the-job training by learning trade-specific skills and techniques, often as a pathway to an apprenticeship or specialized role.
  • Common Skills and Qualifications Practical Aptitude: Ability to use hand and power tools and perform manual tasks effectively.
  • Physical Stamina: Capable of manual handling and working in various physical environments.
