About Job Profile

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Jewellery CAD Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing accurate and innovative 2D/3D jewellery designs using CAD software, preparing models for prototyping and production, and ensuring high-quality, manufacturable outputs. This role requires a blend of artistic creativity and technical expertise in jewellery manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality 2D and 3D CAD models for rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and custom jewellery pieces.
  • Translate sketches, concepts, and design briefs into detailed CAD designs suitable for manufacturing.
  • Ensure designs meet technical, aesthetic, and functional requirements.
  • Prepare CAD files for 3D printing, wax prototyping, and casting processes.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, gemmologists, and production teams to optimize designs for stone setting, polishing, and finishing.
  • Maintain a library of CAD designs and manage version control/documentation.
  • Stay updated on jewellery design trends, materials, and techniques to contribute innovative ideas.
  • Modify and update existing CAD models based on feedback and technical requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma/Degree in Jewellery Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • Proficiency in jewellery-specific CAD software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix Gold, Jewel CAD, 3Design, or Z Brush).
  • Strong understanding of gemstone setting, metal properties, and jewellery manufacturing techniques.
  • Creative flair with an eye for detail, proportions, and aesthetics.
  • Knowledge of 3D printing and rapid prototyping processes.
  • Ability to interpret design briefs and translate them into manufacturable jewellery pieces.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience as a Jewellery CAD Designer (fresh graduates with strong portfolios may also apply).
  • Experience in luxury, fashion, or fine jewellery industry is an added advantage.
