What you'll do

We are looking for a developer passionate about converting novel ideas based on Machine Learning and other statistical methods, into enterprise-scale, production-ready software.

You will –

• Design, implement, and optimize statistically robust, efficient, and scalable algorithms.
• Adapt the algorithms to meet system and customer requirements.
• Develop test strategies and methodologies to evaluate new or competing algorithms.
• Rationalize and document the process behind algorithm design, including goals, trade-offs made with space and time complexity, decision criteria, and reasoning behind implementation choices.
• Stay up-to-date on latest research and algorithm development methodologies.
• Collaborate with other ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers and Product owners.

The development will be based on a combination of two or more of the following technologies:

• SAP HANA Predictive Analytics Library.
• SQL.
• Python.
• Java based microservices.
• SAP Joule and GenAI
• Databricks, Delta Lake

What you bring

• Excellent Analytical skills, ability to formulate multiple solutions to a given problem
• Clarity in communication, backed by fluency with both written and spoken in English.
• Demonstrated excellence in programming in at least two of the following, viz. SQL, Python, Java.
• Experience in handling large volume of data in productive environment
• Some experience in microservices, highly scalable multi-tenant architecture would add to your advantage.
• Knowledge of agile software development processes and experience with cloud development processes driven by regular code reviews, design reviews.

At SAP CXS APM, we are dedicated to the research and development of a set of applications catering to the lifecycle management of multiple products and solutions. SAP Cloud ALM is an offering for cloud-centric customers. We embed product-functionalities and services that leverage insights from Data, using various Statistical techniques including Machine Learning. A large part of the data we deal with are of the form of Time series, as we have access to the data continually collected by our monitoring infrastructures, and also other types of data such as application telemetry and so on. This offers us with the opportunity to work on a wide variety of topics such as

• Anomaly detection
• Predictions of potential outages and other failures
• Single and Multivariate forecasts
• Scheduling recommendations
• Intelligent correlations of alerts or events or messages
• Alert root cause detection
• Threshold-less alerting
• Intelligent automation and so on.

You would be in the company of a group of creative and hard-working Engineers, Data Scientists and Product thinkers.
