We're looking for a
Risk Research Specialist
who understands the local market and can support our core team by providing valuable context, insights, and connections.

You'll act as our local expert, helping us better understand user behavior, fraud trends, credit risks, and market-specific challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide local expertise to support the central Risk & Fraud team
  • Research local fraud schemes, user profiles, and risk behaviors
  • Assist in identifying external data sources (e.g., verification, telecom, behavioral data) Search for external data providers (e.g., phone/email reputation services, telecom, verification platforms, public records, etc.) that could support our fraud prevention or business operations
  • Collaborate closely with the central teams sharing local findings and helping improve detection logic and models
  • Investigate real cases of fraud or delinquency to understand how they happened and what patterns can be learned
  • Help adapt central strategies to Indian market conditions and user expectations
  • Collect and organize data in Google Sheets / Excel, prepare reports or summaries for the core team
  • Optionally support data extraction using SQL/Python (a plus, but not required)

Requirements: Must-have:

  • Deep understanding of the Indian market, including financial behavior, digital services, and local risk context
  • Experience in FinTech, antifraud, lending, e-commerce, or digital payments
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to spot suspicious behavior or risk factors
  • Skilled in Google Sheets / Excel (pivot tables, filters, formulas)
  • Strong communication skills in English (you'll work closely with a remote team)

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with risk, fraud, or credit operations
  • Familiarity with SQL or Python for data exploration
  • Prior involvement in vendor selection, user research, or risk investigation
