About the Role

We're seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our product development support team. In this role, you'll take ownership of 2D/3D design outputs, collaborate with international stakeholders, and contribute to projects involving custom orthotics, surgical tools, precision components, and sensor integration systems.

This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role suited for engineers who are strong in CAD, DFM thinking, and cross-functional collaboration, and are excited to grow with a design-led, globally focused team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and iterate 3D models and 2D drawings based on client requirements and specifications.
  • Participate in the design-to-manufacture cycle, accounting for tolerances, materials, and assembly constraints.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver high-precision design outputs.
  • Convert design briefs, scanned data, and markups into production-ready documentation.
  • Maintain version control, design logs, and project documentation.
  • Support quality checks, compliance documentation, and deliverable packaging.

Required Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in product or mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD tools; familiarity with AutoCAD or Rhino is a plus.
  • Strong grasp of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawings.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to DFM/DFA, GD&T, or engineering documentation workflows.
  • Experience with medical devices, wearables, or small-batch manufacturing projects.
  • Ability to interpret 3D scan data or manage design changes efficiently.
  • Familiarity with BOM creation, file structuring, and QA workflows.
