AM / DM / Manager / Sr. Manager (Procurement) - Supply Chain

JOB PURPOSE

  • The role holder will be primarily responsible for Vendor Sourcing, Rate contract, Negotiations of Implants and Medical & Surgical Consumables for Central level.
  • The person shall also look after the procurement operations of Group hospitals from time-to-time as required or directed by the supervisor.

Core Responsibilities

  • Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
  • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers / companies.
  • Negotiating with suppliers / companies to secure advantageous terms.
  • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers / companies to ensure better terms.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers / companies.
  • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • Compare proposals for price and specifications.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
  • Responsible to source the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
  • Run RFQ's / tenders, evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors.
  • Keep contract files and use them as reference for the future
  • Ensure all procurement processes are followed and accurately recorded
  • forecast price trends and their impact on future activities

Technical Skills

  • Excellent strategic ability and analytical skills
  • Computer Literacy, with expertise in Excel and Power Point.
  • Good Negotiation Skills.
  • Knowledge of Implants, Medical & Surgical Consumables

Experience

  • For AM/DM - 4 to 5 years of experience in the procurement of Medical & Surgical consumables and Consignment & Implants for Hospitals.
  • For Manager & Sr. Mgr - 8 to 10 years of experience in the procurement of Consignment & Implant materials for Hospitals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation, preferably MBA in SCM
