Job Title: Chef De Partie

Department: Kitchen / Culinary

Location: Siliguri and Darjeeling

Reporting To: Sous Chef / Executive Chef

Job Summary:

The Continental Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality Continental dishes while maintaining Flurys' culinary standards. The role demands creativity, consistency, and strong attention to detail to ensure guest satisfaction and uphold the brand's heritage of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook Continental dishes as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Assist in menu planning, costing, and developing new Continental items.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all dishes.
  • Ensure proper portion control and minimize food wastage.
  • Monitor kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation in compliance with FSSAI and company standards.
  • Maintain stock control, request supplies, and ensure proper storage of raw materials.
  • Train and guide junior kitchen staff in Continental cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth operations during service.
  • Follow safety, health, and hygiene procedures at all times.
  • Support the Sous Chef/Executive Chef in daily operations and special events.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Continental cuisine (Italian, French, Mediterranean, etc.).
  • Excellent culinary and plating skills.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food costing, and recipe development.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and passion for food.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a reputed hotel, restaurant, or bakery kitchen specializing in Continental cuisine.
  • Experience in a high-volume or fine-dining kitchen will be preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
