Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to interpret large datasets, analyze results, and provide key insights to optimize business processes and decision-making within our organization.

Responsibilities

Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.

Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets with attention to detail.

Filter and "clean" raw data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.

Work with management to prioritize business and information needs, defining KPIs and metrics.

Locate and define new process improvement opportunities and automation.

Present complex information and findings using effective data visualization techniques.

Collaborate with data scientists and IT team members to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.

Proven experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools.

Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases (SQL, etc.).

Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately.

Tools & Systems Knowledge

Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) or R.

Databases: Expertise in SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL for data extraction and manipulation.

Visualization Tools: Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.

Spreadsheets: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VBA, pivot tables, lookups).

Tools: Git for version control, JIRA, ETL Frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
