VMC Machine CAM Programmer (Tool Room Applications)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced VMC Machine CAM Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) for precision machining in our tool room.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize CAM programs for VMC machines to produce high-precision components.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create efficient machining programs.
  • Set up VMC machines, including tool selection, offsets, and fixture alignment.
  • Conduct trial runs, inspect finished components, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure efficient and accurate production.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setup sheets, and tooling information.
  • Ensure adherence to workplace safety guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a CAM programmer for VMC machines, preferably in tool room applications.
  • Proficiency in CAM software
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
