Location : CHENNAI & BANGALORE
Job Summary:
The Service In-Charge will oversee and manage day-to-day elevator/lift service operations, including preventive maintenance, breakdown resolution, customer service, and team management. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while driving customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive maintenance across all sites.
• Lead, guide, and supervise service engineers and technicians.
• Attend major breakdowns and provide advanced troubleshooting support.
• Coordinate with clients, building managers, and facility heads for service activities.
• Track AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) renewals and support the sales team in customer retention.
• Monitor spares usage, inventory levels, and ensure cost control.
• Maintain detailed service reports, breakdown logs, and performance metrics.
• Train and mentor service staff to improve technical and customer-handling skills.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, statutory norms, and company policies.
• Report service performance and challenges to management regularly.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 34 years of experience in lift/elevator servicing, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. .(Specifically in Johnson / Kone / OTIS / Schindler makes)
• Ability to lead a team, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
• Excellent communication and customer-handling skills. (In English and Local language)
• Proficiency in preparing reports and using service management software (if applicable).
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites as required.
Work Environment:
• Field-based role with office coordination.
• Requires site visits, including working at heights and confined spaces.
• Safety training and protective equipment will be provided.
