Role:-Tax Associate/ Senior Tax Associate – U.S. Individual Tax (Form 1040)

Experience :- 2-6 years in U.S. Individual Taxation in a full-service accounting firm(Top CPA firm)

Location:- Bangalore, Position is roughly 45-48 hours during tax season will require Saturdays / and 40 in off-season

Role and Key Responsibilities:


• The primary role of a Tax Senior Associate is to ensure accuracy of tax deliverables and supervise and mentor staff. Also, they are required to assist with strengthening relationships with the client.


• Prepare and review complex U.S. individual tax returns including Form 1040 and


• Related schedules (e.g., Schedule C, Schedule E, Forms 2555, 1116, 8938, 8621, 5471, 8865, etc.).


• Handle expatriate and international tax filings, including 1040NR returns.


• Review tax work papers and ensure accurate and timely preparation of federal and state returns.


• Advise on tax planning strategies and identify opportunities for tax savings.


• Respond to client inquiries, tax audits, and IRS/state notices in a timely and professional manner.


• Conduct first-level review of tax returns and supporting documentation.


• Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulatory updates; perform in-depth tax research as required.


• Support the onboarding of new clients in collaboration with the Director and CEO.


• Lead workflow optimization and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements:


• Graduate or Post Graduate Accounting degree or a related field.


• Minimum 4 years of experience and knowledge in US individual Tax (Form 1040)


• At least 1 year of experience reviewing tax returns prepared by junior staff


• Experience with any of the tax software such as Ultraxtax, GoSystem and CCH Access


• CPA or EA licence would be an added advantage
