Position Overview

As a Tax Senior, you will partner closely with clients, ensuring tax compliance, preparing projections, resolving tax notices, supporting special projects, and building lasting client relationships. you'll be reporting to the Tax Managers in the Smith& Howard India office and collaborating with the US Tax Services Group on various tax engagements. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor and train tax staff.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and review Form 1040 (U.S. Individual Tax Returns) using Prosystem Axcess.

· Ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state tax regulations and firm standards.

· Collaborate with U.S. teams to meet deadlines and resolve client queries.

· Maintain accurate documentation and workpapers.

· Support special tax projects and client advisory initiatives.

· Mentor and train junior tax staff.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

· Minimum 2 years of experience preparing Form 1040 using Prosystem Axcess.

· Familiarity with Prosystem Engagement is highly preferred.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

· EA or CPA license/Pursuing is a plus.

Location & Work Schedule

Location: Bangalore

Shift Timing: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST (Monday to Friday)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹4,000,000.00 per year
