Position is for a resource which is part of Dataiku core team which manages the centralized Dataiku solution

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for key technology and platform decisions relating to Dataiku DSS & Alation, collaborating with leadership and user community

• Outline, plan, and coordinate minor and major releases for Dataiku & Alation environments

• Supports Data Science Studio platform, ensuring performance and uptime for user community, while enabling automation and freeing up capacity

• Find opportunities in the Dataiku & Alation environments to optimize processes, reduce vulnerabilities, reduce cost, and optimize the platform for enterprise use cases

• Serve as internal guide on Dataiku & Alation platforms for the Chief Data Office Organization

• Explore and vet out new services, features, or architectures
• Design deployments to be scalable, secure, and repeatable

• Coordinate with security to ensure timely patching, and tracking of vulnerabilities

• The role will be on the Cloud & Platform Services DevOps team, with opportunity for cross-platform learning.

• Mange DSS disk usage tuning controlling memory usage

• Maintains and updates existing Dataiku servers/jobs, test client applications to determine compatibility with upgrades, and work with customers to resolve any issues

• Setup Dataiku DSS install DSS connect to databases user management permissions setup Maintenance of Dataiku DSS update backup migration of DSS instances Management of Dataiku workflows and access data sharing among flows projects Other tasks

• Manage create modify code environments Desired Characteristics Experience in infrastructure/architecture.

• Demonstrable ability to lead, collaborate effectively with adjacent teams to tackle problems Experience leading a large enterprise platform or product with large end-user exposure

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences

• Strong infrastructure automation skills in multiple programming languages (Python/shell script preferred)

• Familiarity with Orchestration and Configuration Management tools

• Windows System Administration background Certification(s) in Azure is helpful

• Familiarity with Big Data tools and platforms (Hadoop, Greenplum, HVR, Casandra, etc.)

• Experience with Data Science Platforms (Dataiku, H2o, Azure )

• Hands on experience maintaining Git Repositories Familiar working in an AGILE environment
