Rathi Creations is a leading manufacturer and wholesaler of premium silk sarees based in Bangalore. We are seeking a dedicated accounting professional to manage our financial operations.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accountant & Bookkeeper to manage and maintain our books of accounts. This is a full-time, permanent, in-office position requiring someone with strong accounting knowledge, proficient in Tally, well versed with TDS and GST compliance.

Work Schedule: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Saturday

Location: Bangalore (In-office)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping Operations

· Maintain and update all financial records in Tally, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, individual accounts, and HUF accounts​

· Record and classify daily financial transactions accurately and maintain petty cash and cash ledgers​

· Process vendor payments and manage customer receipts for timely settlement​

· Draft invoices, e-way bills, e-invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and other vouchers for Rathi Creations and our e-commerce brand​

· Maintain proper voucher filing and documentation system with records of all purchases, sales, and freight charges​

Payroll & Banking

· Handle complete payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursements to all employees​

· Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts on a monthly basis​

Financial Reporting & Analysis

· Prepare accurate monthly financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements​

· Make monthly accruals, adjustments, and journal entries as required​

· Review financial documents to identify and resolve discrepancies and irregularities​

· GST Compliance

· File GST returns including GSTR-1 (sales) and GSTR-3B (summary return) on time​

· Perform input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation and GSTR-2A/2B reconciliation monthly​

· Process GST payment challans and maintain GST documentation​

· File annual GST return (GSTR-9) and conduct year-end reconciliation​

· TDS & TCS Compliance

· File TDS returns on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis (Forms 24Q, 26Q, 27Q)​

· Generate and process TDS payment challans through NSDL portal​

· Conduct TDS reconciliation with Form 26AS quarterly​

· Apply correct TDS on specific transactions including salary, rent, professional fees, commission, and interest​

· Issue TDS certificates (Form 16 for salary and Form 16A for non-salary payments) to employees and vendors​

· Handle TCS collection, payment, and return filing on applicable transactions​

Audit & Compliance Support

· Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules​

· Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and maintain audit trails​

· Ensure regular backup of Tally data to maintain data security and integrity​

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

· Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Accounting, Finance, or related field​

· Minimum 5+ years of accounting and bookkeeping experience​

· Experience in manufacturing, wholesale, or textile industry preferred​

Technical Skills

· Expert proficiency in Tally ERP 9/Prime (mandatory) - including GST configuration, voucher management, and report generation​

· Experience with e-invoicing, e-way bill generation, and GST portal​

GST Compliance

· In-depth knowledge of GST laws, rates, HSN codes, and ITC rules​

· Proven experience filing GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-9​

· Expertise in ITC and GSTR-2A/2B reconciliation​

· Experience processing GST payment challans​

TDS & TCS Compliance

· Strong understanding of TDS/TCS provisions, rates, and applicable sections​

· Experience filing TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q) - monthly, quarterly, and annual​

· Knowledge of TDS payment processing, Form 26AS reconciliation, and certificate issuance (Form 16/16A)​

Core Accounting Skills

· Expertise in double-entry bookkeeping and financial statement preparation​

· Strong experience in payroll processing

· Proficiency in bank reconciliation, AP/AR management, and journal entries​

· Experience with individual and HUF accounting in Tally​

· Audit support experience and understanding of internal controls​

· Excellent organizational skills with ability to meet compliance deadlines​

· Integrity in handling confidential financial information​

· Good communication skills in English, Hindi and Kannada (preferred)
