Role Definition

The Project Delivery Head is accountable for leading and managing all Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) implementation projects delivered from India for North America clients. This role ensures end-to-end delivery excellence, governance, client satisfaction, and strict adherence to Microsoft best practices and DynamicsSmartz delivery frameworks.

Operating from India, this leader acts as the central bridge between India-based delivery teams and North America client-facing leadership, ensuring projects are executed with global quality standards, seamless communication, and strong client engagement. The Project Delivery Head manages Project Managers, Solution Architects, and consulting teams, driving high-quality and scalable implementations for North America clients.

Timings : 2:30 pm IST - 11:30 pm IST

Core Responsibilities

  1. Program & Portfolio Management

  2. Oversee the entire portfolio of BC implementation projects for North America clients.

  3. Prioritize projects, allocate resources, and align delivery with regional strategies.

  4. Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery progress across all programs.

  5. Delivery Excellence

  6. Enforce standardized methodologies (Microsoft SureStep, Agile/Hybrid, PMI).

  7. Ensure project artifacts (plans, requirements, blueprints) are always complete and signed-off.

  8. Monitor solution architecture alignment and scope adherence for global rollouts.

  9. Governance & Risk Management

  10. Implement structured governance frameworks (steering committees, executive dashboards).

  11. Conduct delivery reviews and portfolio-wide quality checks.

  12. Proactively mitigate risks; ensure escalations are resolved before reaching client executives.

  13. Resource Leadership

  14. Manage and mentor India-based Project Managers, Solution Architects, Functional & Technical Consultants.

  15. Forecast resource demand, optimize utilization, and balance onshore/offshore collaboration with North America.

  16. Develop career paths, training programs, and succession plans for delivery resources in India.

  17. Client Engagement (North America-Facing)

  18. Serve as senior delivery authority supporting North America client accounts.

  19. Partner with North America regional leaders during bid defenses, project kickoffs, and QBRs.

  20. Build trust and credibility with client-side executives through consistent delivery excellence.

  21. Innovation & Improvement

  22. Champion adoption of Microsoft BC new releases, accelerators, and ISV components (e.g., ProjectPro365).

  23. Promote reusability of templates, frameworks, and accelerators across North America projects.
  24. Conduct lessons-learned exercises and implement global best practices in India teams.
