As a
Data Analyst at Aerosimple

, you'll play a vital role in turning airport operations data into actionable intelligence. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, translate them into well-structured metrics, and build visual dashboards that guide better decision-making.

You'll create and maintain database views in PostgreSQL (OLTP) by joining multiple related tables and applying advanced SQL transformations, including window functions and PL/PostgreSQL where needed, to ensure accuracy and reliability. Your expertise in time-series data will help capture operational trends, while your skills in Apache Superset or other BI tools will bring these insights to life through intuitive visualizations.

This role offers an opportunity to own your work end-to-end—extracting, transforming, and visualizing data—while continuously exploring innovative ways to improve reporting quality and business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and reporting needs.
  • Create SQL views and transformations in PostgreSQL to generate accurate and insightful metrics.
  • Leverage advanced SQL techniques (e.g., window functions, CTEs, and PL/PostgreSQL) for complex data logic and performance optimization.
  • Build interactive dashboards and visualizations in Apache Superset or similar BI tools
  • Work with time-series and operational data to identify performance trends and anomalies.
  • Ensure data accuracy and advise on best practices for data collection and quality
  • Continuously explore new methods to enhance analytics and visualization capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience creating SQL-based views, CTEs, and advanced transformations (window functions, PL/PostgreSQL)
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Apache Superset (preferred) or equivalent platforms.
  • Good understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and visualization principles.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify meaningful metrics for airport operations and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication (LSRW) and strong sense of ownership.
  • Any degree or No Degree is acceptable if you understand databases, visualization concepts and good communication skills preferably English.
  • Background in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Commerce, or Statistics is a plus.
