Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Staff Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications that solve real-world problems and enhance our products. You will technically lead the cross-functional team to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Software Development
  2. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  3. Develop, test, and deploy high quality software applications according to project requirements.
  4. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  5. Technical Leadership
  6. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers.
  7. Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and design sessions.
  8. Work with Managers to provide accurate timeline and cost estimates.
  9. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve our systems.
  10. Drive Automation efforts and adoption of AI tooling to help productivity
  11. Architecture and Design
  12. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical designs.
  13. Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise  software systems that meet performance and reliability standards.
  14. Optimize system performance and ensure solutions are future proof.
  15. Build POCs, participate in Buy/Build decisions
  16. Reverse engineer complex legacy code to propose alternate modern solutions.
  17. Work with Other Architects and Staff engineers to build enterprise solutions that scale and are cost effective.
  18. Collaboration and Teamwork
  19. Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand and implement business requirements.
  20. Lead code reviews and champion best practices and standards.
  21. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  22. Take ownership and build Expertise in one or more domains. Mentor and guide others on the team.
  23. Clearly communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders through demos and documentation.
  24. Continuous Improvement
  25. Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends.
  26. Lead improving development processes, tooling, workflows, and team productivity.
  27. Champion innovative ideas to enhance system performance and user experience.
  28. Participate in ACV Tech Talks and present new ideas that have an impact across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in relevant software development.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies.
  • Experience delivering enterprise responsive web apps using Preact / React framework.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Expert knowledge of AWS Services like Lambdas, S3, EKS, CloudFront etc.
  • Solid experience building API as a product using Node, Go, Python or similar languages.
  • Strong knowledge of GraphQL APIs and platforms like Apollo or Hasura
  • Experience with version control systems, automated testing, and CI / CD.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills for technical design sessions
