Job Summary:

The Lab Assistant is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Robotics Laboratory. This includes maintaining lab infrastructure, ensuring the safety and functionality of all equipment, supporting academic or research activities, and assisting students or staff in the effective use of AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the AI/Robotics/Automation laboratory.

Maintain and update AI-related hardware and software tools, including computers, microcontrollers, sensors, and simulation software.

Ensure all lab equipment is calibrated, serviced, and functioning properly.

Assist students, researchers, and faculty with technical support and project development in AI, ML, robotics, or automation domains.

Maintain inventory of lab equipment, tools, and consumables.

Enforce safety procedures and lab usage guidelines.

Organize training workshops, seminars, and demonstrations related to artificial intelligence, IoT, robotics, and machine learning.

Collaborate with faculty and research teams on innovative projects and experiments.

Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in AI and suggest improvements or upgrades to lab facilities accordingly.

Maintain proper records of experiments, projects, and lab usage logs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electronics, Robotics, or a related field.

Hands-on knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB.

Familiarity with AI tools and platforms like TensorFlow, Keras, OpenCV, or ROS.

Excellent organizational, technical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in academic or research institutions.

Certification in AI/ML, Robotics, or Data Science.

Prior experience supervising lab assistants or interns.
