
Business Development Manager

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.
Responsibilities
- Identify partnership opportunities
- Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand
- Think critically when planning to assure project success
- Research, identify, and qualify new business opportunities and potential clients within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences industries.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualifying opportunities, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for expanded services.
- Develop and implement strategies for market expansion, new service offerings, and strategic partnerships to achieve growth targets.
- Monitor and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and sales performance to senior management and be supporting hand with director -BD.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and nurture relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and internal teams.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or business is often required, with an MBA being an advantage.
- 3 - 4 years' prior industry related business development experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
- Focused and goal-oriented
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and conferences is often a requirement.
