Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Risk Analyst to assess the creditworthiness of individuals or businesses applying for loans or credit. The role involves evaluating financial data, performing risk assessments, and making recommendations to minimize financial risk while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the risk involved in lending.

  • Prepare credit reports and risk profiles with clear recommendations and conclusions.

  • Use quantitative models to assess the probability of default and potential loss exposure.

  • Monitor existing credit exposures and identify early warning signals.

  • Recommend risk mitigation strategies, such as changes in credit terms or credit limits.

  • Work with relationship managers, underwriters, and legal teams to structure credit solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain and update credit risk databases and documentation.

  • Stay current on industry trends, economic indicators, and market developments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).

  • 2+ years of experience in credit risk analysis, credit underwriting, or related roles.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, credit risk models, and lending practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with risk modeling tools and databases (e.g., SAS, R, SQL) is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
