Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, cloud, and wireless networks.
Install, configure, and manage network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
Monitor network performance and ensure high availability using tools like Nagios, Wireshark, SolarWinds.
Implement and maintain network security (VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, ACLs).
Troubleshoot network outages, conduct root cause analysis, and perform preventive maintenance.
Maintain up-to-date documentation: network diagrams, SOPs, and troubleshooting logs.
Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to support business growth.
Participate in on-call rotation for network incidents.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar devices.
Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, GCP networking) is a plus.
Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
Familiarity with SD-WAN, IPv6, multicast, VoIP/SIP is desirable.
Proficiency with network monitoring & troubleshooting tools: Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG.
Certifications (Preferred)
CCNA (required or in-progress).
CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent (advantage).
Security certifications like CEH / CCNP Security are a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
Team player with a proactive attitude and ownership mindset.**
