React Native Subject Matter Expert (SME), Financial Services
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled
React Native Subject Matter Expert (SME)
to lead the architecture, development, and deployment of cutting-edge mobile applications within our
financial services and FinTech product suite
. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in the React Native ecosystem, a proven track record of delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance financial applications, and the ability to mentor a team and drive best practices. This role requires a blend of hands-on coding, architectural design, and domain knowledge in areas like banking, wealth management, trading, or payments.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Define and drive the mobile application architecture, ensuring it is scalable, maintainable, highly performant, and adheres to strict financial industry security standards.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, development processes, and design patterns (e.g., Redux, MobX, state management) across the mobile team.
• Evaluate and recommend new mobile technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve developer efficiency and application quality.
• Oversee the CI/CD pipeline for mobile applications, including automated testing, build processes, and deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Financial Services Domain Expertise

• Leverage deep knowledge of the financial industry to ensure applications meet regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, KYC, AML) and security requirements.
• Design and implement features common in financial applications, such as secure authentication (e.g., biometric login, MFA), encrypted data storage, real-time data streaming (e.g., market data), and complex transaction processing.
• Work closely with product owners and compliance officers to translate complex financial requirements into technical specifications.
• Ensure a seamless and secure user experience optimized for financial interactions and data visualization (e.g., charts, portfolio views).

Development & Mentorship

• Spend a portion of time as a hands-on developer, tackling the most complex technical challenges and providing code reviews.
• Mentor and coach intermediate and junior developers, leveling up the entire team's React Native skills.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance, stability, and memory issues across both iOS and Android platforms.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5+ years focused on React Native.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, React Native and its core principles.
• 3+ years of direct experience developing and deploying mobile applications in the Financial Services, FinTech, or highly regulated domains.
• Proven experience integrating with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSocket connections, particularly in high-volume, real-time data environments.
• Expert-level understanding of native module development for both iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) to bridge native functionality with React Native where necessary.
• Familiarity with common financial security protocols and practices, including data encryption, secure local storage, and tokenization.
• Strong experience with unit testing (e.g., Jest), integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with DevOps practices for mobile deployments (e.g., Fastlane).
• Prior experience leading a feature team or acting as a Team Lead.
