About the Role

We are hiring a creative and highly skilled Video Editor who can produce engaging, scroll-stopping video ads for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

This is not a typical video editing job. We're looking for someone who understands how videos perform in paid ad environments, can think like a marketer, and bring storytelling + performance together to craft high-converting ad creatives.

You will work closely with content strategists, designers, and paid marketing teams to produce and optimize direct-response video ads for real campaigns across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

  • Edit videos for paid social media campaigns, with a strong focus on performance-driven storytelling
  • Create visually engaging short-form ads (5s60s), reels, explainers, testimonials, UGC-style edits, etc.
  • Work with stock footage, brand assets, voiceovers, subtitles, and motion graphics to build effective creatives
  • Follow platform best practices and customize video formats for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Shorts
  • Work closely with creative and ad teams to rapidly A/B test and iterate variations
  • Stay updated on ad trends, editing techniques, hooks, and attention-grabbing visual tactics
  • Organize assets, maintain file systems, and deliver projects on tight deadlines

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in video editing, especially for digital ads or social campaigns
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent tools
  • Strong understanding of creative strategy, editing for retention, and visual storytelling
  • Ability to create motion graphics, kinetic text, transitions, and sound sync
  • Familiarity with Meta Ads / Google Ads specs and ad platform creative guidelines

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of tools like CapCut, Runway ML, Pika Labs, , or other AI-assisted editing platforms
  • Experience working with performance marketing teams or direct-response brands
  • Ability to add captions, hooks, emojis, memes, and animated elements creatively
  • Understanding of video analytics, retention tracking, and ad creative optimization
