Job Purpose

Procurement & Compliance

• Ensuring high standard of safety in all areas of operations linked to Procurement arena.
• Should demonstrate high standards of compliance to policy and processes on procurement regulations implemented across the organization.
• Should be well-versed with RFQ, Cost comparisons, Benchmarking, Negotiations and P2P Policies.
• Should be able to handle PAN India level Caps, Carton, & Packing Material Costing and Price controls and business allocations.
• Should be able to handle multiple project purchases and give seamless support to project team through timely, cost effectively and quality product purchase.
• Should be able to bring very good savings to the company through hardcore negotiations and through alternate vendor / material developments.
• Should be quick in identifying and fixing stock out situations and also capable of taking corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the development, improvement & implementation of comprehensive procurement policy and processes across the company
• Ensure competitive quotes are called and comparison sheet prepared before negotiating / finalizing the project purchases.
• Liaison with finance team and ensure timely advance payment, LC opening and final payments
• Ensuring and supporting developments of alternate raw materials, packing materials and job workers which brings good amount of flexibility and savings to the organization.
• Should frontend all internal and external audits of the purchase department and able to ensure timely closure of all audits related observations.
• Should be able to implement compliance across the department and train the purchase executives
• Establish excellent working relationships with Internal and External Customer like stake holders, suppliers and customers etc.
• Supporting the Function on day to day business transaction/routine tasks both online (SAP, Mails) and offline.

Logistics Activity - EXIM - Ocean & Air freight

• Floating RFQ, Freight negotiation & Contract finalization.
• Getting stuffing plan from EPL units for the month.
• Aligning container booking and vessel connectivity for the month.
• Ensuring revenue recognition in the same month for all export shipments.
• Reviewing freight consolidation opportunity in Import Air freight.
• Negotiation of Air freight finalization based on per KG cost analysis New/Alternate vendor registration and review of days payable.
• Preparing monthly freight spend analysis report along with comparative study and Improvement plans.
• Contract Management as per EPL Policy.
• Monitoring OTIF.
• Claims Management.

Domestic Freight (Including EXIM Trailer Movements)

• Monitoring, analyzing and negotiating freight cost & Transporter Management.
• Quarterly Market benchmarking and comparison to have competitive freight cost
• Route and vehicle utilization
• RFQ and contract finalization
• Daily review of diesel prices
• Calling a minimum of three quotes for negotiating non-contractual or adhoc routes spot rates
• Timely review of vehicle placements as per requirement from units and taking corrective actions to align unit requirement
• Ensuring cost hygiene in SAP system
• Monitoring OTIF
• Claims Management
