Are you an experienced accountant looking for an exciting new opportunity?

Tax Central is looking for a skilled and confident accounting professional to join our team. Professional-level English (spoken & written) is mandatory, as you will be required to communicate with Australian clients, understand their needs, and guide them effectively.

We are an Australian KPO, working closely with Australian clients. Candidates with prior experience in CA firms will be preferred, even if they have not completed CA.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and file accurate tax returns for clients in a timely manner.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to help clients maximize tax savings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and provide exceptional customer service (including interaction with Australian clients).
  • Utilize MS Office and MS Excel to organize and manage financial information.
  • Stay up to date on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance for clients.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Assist with special projects and provide support to senior management as needed.

Additional Candidate Preferences :

  • Strong foundational knowledge of accounting concepts, especially debit/credit rules and financial statement preparation.
  • Hands-on experience with Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Xero.
  • Exposure to GST, TDS, and Income Tax return preparation is highly regarded.
  • Excel proficiency — formulas, reconciliations, pivot tables, and data validation.
  • Ability to interpret Trial Balance, P&L, and Balance Sheet independently.
  • Prior experience in CA firms / accounting outsourcing / compliance environments is desirable.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to identify & correct posting or reconciliation errors.
  • Strong English communication skills are mandatory, as you will be required to communicate with Australian clients.
  • Open to learning new systems, tools, and workflows as part of process automation.
  • Preference for candidates pursuing or completed CA (Inter), M.Com, or equivalent.
  • Comfortable working with tight deadlines and multiple client portfolios.
  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in handling client data.
