Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial records, preparing accurate financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and assisting with strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation, examination, and analysis of financial records, statements, and reports.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Maintain general ledger and reconcile accounts.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.

Assist in internal and external audits.

Monitor financial transactions, including payroll and expense reporting.

Maintain and update accounting records and files.

Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and verify financial transactions.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies, standards, and local regulations.

Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management for decision-making.

Supervise and mentor junior accountants and assist in team training.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.

Professional certifications like CA (Inter), CMA, or ACCA would be a plus.

Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting or finance roles.

Strong knowledge of Indian accounting principles and tax laws (GST, TDS, etc.).

Familiarity with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in managing accounts for small to medium-sized businesses.

Knowledge of Indian financial regulations and reporting standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
