Clean Electric is a Series A funded battery tech company focused on designing and manufacturing advanced li-ion batteries for EVs and energy storage applications which enable 12-min rapid charging, long life and unrivalled safety. Founded in 2020 by IIT-BHU graduates Akash Gupta, Abhinav Roy and Ankit Joshi, we are today rapidly scaling and deploying our tech across 2W and 3W segments with plans to enter 4W and commercial vehicles as well. The team comprises multiple IIT, IIM graduates and industry professionals and we are backed by some of the leading Indian VCs.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Testing Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. The role involves manual and automation testing, defect tracking, and close collaboration with the development team to deliver a seamless end-user experience.

Responsibility:

  • Execute manual testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Identify, document, and report software bugs with clarity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to resolve issues effectively.
  • Perform various testing types including regression, sanity, smoke, and functional testing.
  • Provide feedback to enhance user experience and product quality.
  • Participate in code and test case reviews, ensuring adherence to QA best practices.
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to process improvements.
  • Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and other QA documentation.
  • Use tools like JIRA for defect tracking and reporting.
  • Support and mentor junior QA team members as needed.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in software testing
  • Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc/BCA) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of core software testing concepts and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Android, iOS, and web platforms.
  • Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
  • Exposure to Agile development processes.
  • Experience using testing and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Postman).
  • Hands-on experience with testing types such as unit testing, integration testing, load testing, and stress testing.
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language.
