Role & responsibilities

  • Design Leadership: Guide and support junior design engineers to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of design outputs
  • Design Review & Approval: Review, validate, and approve hydraulic cylinder designs, drawings, and calculations
  • Customer-Focused Engineering: Understand customer applications and translate requirements into optimized design solutions balancing performance, quality, and cost
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Address technical queries from Production, Purchase, Quality, Sales, and customers to ensure smooth project execution
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects, monitor milestones, and ensure adherence to committed timelines
  • Design Optimization & Standardization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, design optimization, and standard part development
  • Documentation & BoM Control: Ensure accuracy and consistency of drawings, models, calculations, and Bills of Materials
  • Issue Resolution: Analyze manufacturing, assembly, and field-related issues and implement root-cause-based design corrections

Compensation

Preferred candidate profile

  • Qualification: BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or DME
  • Experience: 6 to 12 years of hands-on design experience in the Hydraulic Cylinder / Hydraulics Engineering industry
  • Industry Exposure: Experience in OEM-focused engineering and customized hydraulic solutions is preferred

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant mechanical design tools
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, applications, and cylinder design
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and engineering judgment skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication with the ability to explain technical concepts effectively
