Test Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the functionality and preparing detailed testing scenarios and test cases.
  • Understanding the overall functionalities of the product and coming up with the integration testing scenarios.
  • Setting up the required test data and carrying out the detailed testing and documentation of the test results.
  • Carrying out the functional and non-functional testing.
  • Troubleshooting any errors and streamlining the testing procedures.
  • Writing up the final QA and test procedures for the quality technicians.
  • Training the quality assurance staff and providing technical support when needed.
  • Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.
  • Preparing test reports.
  • Conduct performance testing to evaluate system response, reliability, and scalability.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Total 3+ years of work experience.
  • Previous work experience of 2+ years as a test engineer in the Retail/e-commerce/ERP/SCM domain.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.
  • Experience in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exposure in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG).
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in API Testing with tools like Postman.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
