We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through effective test planning, design, execution, and reporting. Candidates with experience in the shipping or logistics industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases (manual and/or automated) based on project requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with development and business teams to understand system functionality and define test scenarios.
  • Perform regression, integration, functional, and user acceptance testing.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test summary reports.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and testing efficiency.
  • Participate in review meetings and provide feedback on quality assurance processes.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with manual testing and exposure to automation testing (Selenium, JMeter, or similar tools preferred).
  • Knowledge of SDLC and STLC principles.
  • Experience working with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the shipping, logistics, or transportation industry will be an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and API testing tools (e.g., Postman) preferred.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) will be an added advantage.
