Description

Leads the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while leading and co-leading teams.

Responsibilities

Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met. 
Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.
Impacts the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools, following the Cummins standards, and leading the development of manufacturing standards and working methods. 
Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.
Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
Leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.
Maintains relationships and coaches key stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Graduate Mechanical Engineer & Min 12-15 Yr's of Experience in Engine Assembly, Test & Paint Process in ME function. 
  • Leading ATP ME team- VPCR, Process & Quality Improvements, CAPEX Projects, MOC, FMEA, 3DX, IE, Time estimation & Line balancing. Leading SBP actions for ME. 
  • Releasing RFQ's for new requirements. Track the capital order progress at supplier end to ensure timely delivery and cashflow adherence. 
  • Installation & Commissioning of the equipment. Including documenting, HIRA, FMEA, Process Docs, Control Plans & Capability as per agreed terms
  • Perform the Cycle time and through put time study and document the same & work on the bottleneck operations
  • Monthly analysis of lines capability, Capacity and OEE
  • Handover of the equipment to user with sign off from stake holders - BU/FU, Quality, Safety & Maintenance
  • Identifying the requirements for Sustenance AOP CAPEX Plan
  • Quarterly review of capability, capacity and safety with BU/FU
  • VPCR to be tracked and implemented with similar rigor as VPIs
  • SHE & Factory compliances.
  • Updating Omnex/ 3DX with FMEA, control plans and other auditable documents
  • Facing the IATF & PPAP Audits
