Job Title: Deputy Manager – Installation

Purpose of the Position

The Deputy Manager – Installation will be responsible for managing the installation of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) in accordance with the defined project schedule. The role involves coordinating resources, overseeing crane and material movements, managing pre-commissioning activities, and ensuring quality checks during the installation and handover process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all WTG installation activities as per the defined project schedule.

  • Conduct route surveys for crane and material movements.

  • Ensure effective management of all resources, including cranes and trailers.

  • Optimize crane utilization for installation activities.

  • Manage pre-commissioning activities such as mechanical completion and testing.

  • Highlight issues and escalate them to senior management for timely resolution.

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly review meetings with OEMs to expedite installation progress.

  • Inspect WTG components upon arrival at the site.

  • Audit turbines and prepare punch lists.

  • Prepare the final punch list of WTGs and hand it over to Asset Operations upon completion.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering

  • Experience: 8–12 years of experience in WTG installation and project construction

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Earth

    • Vendor management

    • Planning and forecasting

    • HSE knowledge and compliance
