JOB SUMMARY



We are looking for a Senior Compliance Engineer with strong expertise in global environmental regulations (REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, WFD, IHM) and experience in process improvement and digitalization. The role involves transitioning manual compliance workflows to SAP-based processes, collaborating with IT teams, and ensuring global regulatory adherence.



PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with REACH, RoHS, WFD, Prop 65, WEEE, IHM regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with design and IT, supply chain teams to transition manual compliance workflows into SAP-based processes.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and implement changes across product lines globally.
  • Develop compliance documentation and support internal/external audits.
  • Work with suppliers for material declarations and regulatory documentation.
  • Create dashboards and reports for compliance KPIs using SAP and basic analytics tools.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for compliance queries and provide training to internal teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement through RCA and process optimization.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Expert knowledge of global chemical regulations (REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, ELV, WEEE, WFD) and ability to interpret updates.
  • Ability to perform gap analysis between old and updated standards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ability to train internal teams and act as SME for global compliance queries.
  • Experience with SAP or PLM tools for BOM and compliance data management.
  • Ability to lead digitalization projects and collaborate with IT teams.
  • Working knowledge of data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI) for reporting.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/ chemical engineering or related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in regulatory compliance for industrial/manufacturing products.
  • Experience with SAP integration and compliance process improvement.
  • Familiarity with IMDS submissions and supplier compliance management.
  • Green Belt or process improvement certification preferred.
