Clean Electric is a Series A funded battery tech company focused on designing and manufacturing advanced li-ion batteries for EVs and energy storage applications which enable 12-min rapid charging, long life and unrivalled safety. We are pushing the boundaries of the EV industry with our Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) thermal management, integrated cell-to-pack (CTP) architecture, and proprietary dynamic charging algorithms running on a custom-engineered in-house battery management system. Today we are rapidly scaling and deploying our tech across 2W, 3W segments with plans to further expand into other segments.

Role Overview

As a Program Manager - R&D, you will be responsible for streamlining the prototyping and development of various products within Clean Electric. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will play a critical role in coordinating efforts between design, supply chain management (SCM), and prototyping teams to ensure smooth product development. The role requires a combination of technical knowledge, program management skills, and cross-functional leadership to drive innovation in clean energy and battery technology.

Role Description and Key Responsibilities

  • Program Management: Lead and oversee the end-to-end product prototyping and development process, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, SCM, and prototyping teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of projects.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and address bottlenecks in the development cycle, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Technical Oversight: Apply fundamental engineering knowledge to support the team in overcoming design and prototyping challenges.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the key point of contact between teams, ensuring clear and timely updates on project milestones, risks, and requirements.
  • Budget & Timeline Management: Track project costs and schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Customer communication: Align customer expectations and get the issues resolved during development or integration at customer end

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Experience in program management, product development, or R&D within the automotive, battery, clean energy, or related industries.
  • Basic understanding of product development cycles, prototyping, and supply chain coordination.
  • Basic technical knowledge of battery technologies, EV systems, or clean energy solutions.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment with cross-functional teams
