Junior Accountant – Full Time (Hybrid)

Location: Chennai

Working Hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Monday to Saturday

Salary Range: ₹10,000 – ₹20,000 per month

Job Overview

We are looking for a Junior Accountant who is accurate, organized, and eager to grow in a fast-paced startup. This role combines daily accounting with finance-related operational support to ensure smooth functioning of the company.

Preference: Tamil-speaking candidates who can coordinate easily with parents and tutors.

Key ResponsibilitiesCore Accounting

  • Maintain daily bookkeeping: expenses, invoices, receipts, payouts.
  • Handle GST, TDS and statutory compliance (under guidance).
  • Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet and financial summaries.
  • Bank reconciliation and vendor payments.
  • Verify teacher payouts and track fee collections.

Finance & Operations Support

  • Follow up with parents regarding dues or failed payments.
  • Maintain outstanding payment reports and update CRM/Sheets.
  • Track teacher attendance, leaves and payout readiness.
  • Maintain organised digital records for audits.
  • Support basic admin tasks: vendor bills, subscription renewals, expense tracking.

Reporting & Data Tasks

  • Create weekly dashboards for enrollments, dues, and utilization.
  • Ensure accuracy between LMS, CRM, and accounting data.
  • Assist in preparing cost/expense analysis reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
  • 0–3 years of experience (freshers welcomed).
  • Knowledge of Tally / Zoho Books / Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Good communication skills in Tamil & English.

Work Mode

Hybrid – Candidate must be able to commute to Chennai office when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10, ₹15,000.00 per month
