Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Accountant, based in Chennai. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the finance team with day-to-day operations such as preparing and maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, monitoring expenses, and assisting with budget preparation. The role also includes assisting in tax compliance, managing invoices, and providing accurate financial reporting to support decision-making processes. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and expertise in bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools, including spreadsheets and ERP systems.
  • Attention to detail with skills in financial analysis, data management, and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations, budget preparation, and compliance procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Prior experience or internships in accounting or finance roles preferred.
