Job description:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Data Analyst Mentor to guide and mentor aspiring data analysts in developing core analytical and technical skills. You will play a key role in shaping the next generation of data professionals by delivering structured training, providing practical insights, and ensuring learners are industry-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hands-on training sessions in Excel, Power BI, MySQL, Python (Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn), and PySpark.
  • Design and deliver engaging learning modules, exercises, and real-world projects.
  • Provide mentorship to students, assisting with doubts, career guidance, and project reviews.
  • Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, and project evaluations.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and continuously improve training content.
  • Collaborate with curriculum developers and instructional designers for content refinement.
  • Participate in webinars, bootcamps, and hackathons as needed.
  • Track student progress and provide timely feedback.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis or data science roles.
  • Proficiency in:
  • Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, Dashboards)
  • Power BI (Data Modeling, DAX, Visualizations)
  • MySQL (Queries, Joins, Aggregations)
  • Python (especially with libraries like Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
  • PySpark (RDDs, DataFrames, Spark SQL)
  • Strong understanding of data wrangling, visualization, and storytelling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Prior teaching, mentoring, or training experience is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Data Analytics, Power BI, or related technologies.
  • Experience mentoring in bootcamps or online education platforms

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Contract length: 6 months
