How we started:
Founded in 2019, Uravu Labs was born out of a shared vision to address water scarcity issues, particularly inspired by the founders' own experiences on the NIT Calicut campus during their studies. Driven by a passion for innovation and sustainability, Uravu Labs embarked on a mission to develop cutting-edge solutions that could extract water from the air using renewable energy sources. The company's journey began with the realization that existing methods, such as conventional atmospheric water generators, were not entirely sustainable due to their heavy reliance on electricity and the use of refrigerants with high global warming potential. Determined to make a difference, the founders set out to create a solution that would be truly renewable and sustainable. Their dedication led them to explore alternative approaches, resulting in the development of groundbreaking technology that harnesses renewable energy to produce clean water from the air.
Role Overview:
As the
General Manager – Sales (HoReCa)
, you will lead our efforts to grow the
FromAir brand by Uravu
in premium restaurants, boutique hotels, and fine dining spaces. FromAir is a first-of its-kind
packaged drinking water made from air
— a clean, sustainable, and planet-friendly alternative to traditional bottled water.
In this role, you will help bring this pioneering product to the right customers, building strong relationships in the HoReCa industry. You will work closely with the founders and brand team to shape and execute sales strategies, grow market presence, and create long-term partnerships. This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys building new markets and making meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive Sales Strategy & Execution:
Own the complete HoReCa sales cycle in Bangalore – from prospecting and pitching to onboarding and account management.
• Client Acquisition:
Build a strong pipeline and close deals with top-tier restaurants, cafes, bars, and boutique hotels.
• Relationship Management:
Cultivate deep relationships with chefs, restaurant owners, procurement heads, and hospitality leaders.
• Partnership Growth:
Identify and nurture strategic alliances, such as beverage distributors, sustainability consultants, and hospitality design firms.
• Revenue & Target Ownership:
Deliver against aggressive monthly and quarterly targets, while ensuring quality execution and client satisfaction.
• Feedback & Market Intelligence:
Bring back market insights from chefs, sommeliers, and restauranteurs to improve product offerings and positioning.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum
8 years of experience in HoReCa sales
, with at least 5 years selling to premium restaurants or hotels. Must have existing strong relationships in most fine dining restaurants in Bangalore
• Strong network in the Bangalore F&B / HoReCa ecosystem – chefs, owners, procurement heads.
• Proven track record of closing high-value B2B deals in a competitive market.
• Passion for sustainable, design-forward, or health-conscious products is a plus.
• Strong communication, pitching, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
