Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee/Proofreader

The Proofreader plays a critical role in the execution of the Proofreading team's tasks. The Proofreader works directly with the Proofreading Manager and team to ensure quality and accuracy of member-facing projects in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Proofreads documents for grammatical, mathematical, typographical, and compositional errors. Corrects errors.
• Ensures standardization and consistency.
• Ensures adherence to project, branding style, and technical style guides, as applicable.
• Performs work under direct supervision.
• Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
• Proofreads, reviews, and edits documents for accurate use of grammar and content.
• Detail oriented.
• Organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in relevant field with Relevant/Significant years of experience working as editor/proofreader.

• Proficiency in American English language is essential.
• Excellent English language editing skills—hands-on experience of editing and proof-reading content is essential.
• Ability to complete tasks under deadlines while following the required guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Excellent Communication skills – Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Familiar with AP Style.
