- Automation API In this role you will: Promote delivery standards mentoring knowledge sharing and agile principles. Use case ideation documentation and prioritisation with Project Managers/QA Lead Liaise with BAs to ensure that requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented to ensure that they understand how requirements have been implemented so that they can be effectively tested. Participation in regular planning and status meetings. Input to the development process through to involvement in Sprint reviews and retrospectives. Deal with escalations from the development team and know when to escalate issue further. Regular RAG reporting and timely raising of emerging risks and issues. In this role the candidate will be accountable for the End-to-End delivery of key automation initiatives for the service. Participate in Architecture Design and Engineering reviews and provide architectural and Engineering direction to technology teams. Have a deep understanding of the existing applications understand the limitations prepare strategies for tools adoption and drive them for implementation. Liaise with all technical leads and work on proactive improvements of systems and processes. Provide guidance and direction on best practices to be adopted by all team members. To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: Must have skills: At least 8 years hands on REST API automation experience Proficient knowledge in at least one programming language JAVA is preferred. Strong experience in API automation using Rest Assured and BDD frameworks with Cucumber. Implementation execution of automation scenarios creating test scripts. Strong experience Selenium Java and creating framework from scratch. Strong experience in Postman tool. Strong experience in DevOps CICD tools like Jenkins and configuration management tools. Experience with version control system such as GitHub. Strong experience in API testing json and XML as well as exposure to databases. Strong experience in test management defects tracking and automation tools. Strong experience in preparing automated Test data Test Suite and Test bed. Strong experience in preparing Test plans Test cases and Test scripts. Strong experience in detecting Bugs classifying them based on severity priority and logging them in the defect tracking tool and managing the defect through the Bug life cycle. Strong Knowledge of designing Test cases verifying and validating REST API. Participates in Scrum and agile estimation taking into consideration product and process requirements. Good to Have - Gatling and Load runner for performance testing.
