Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Tester with a strong background in healthcare to join our dynamic team. As a Software Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of our healthcare software applications. You will collaborate closely with the development and product teams to identify, document, and rectify issues, contributing to the overall success of our products in the healthcare domain.

Roles & Responsibilities
Testing and Quality Assurance:
Conduct comprehensive testing of healthcare software applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and issues, ensuring the highest level of software quality and reliability.

Domain Expertise:
Apply in-depth knowledge of healthcare industry standards, regulations (such as HIPAA), and best practices to design and execute testing strategies that meet industry-specific requirements.

Test Planning and Strategy:
Develop and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts that encompass various use cases, scenarios, and workflows relevant to healthcare applications.

Regression Testing:
Perform regular regression testing to validate software updates, enhancements, and bug fixes without compromising existing functionalities.

Performance Testing:
Evaluate the performance and scalability of healthcare software, identifying potential bottlenecks and recommending optimizations.

Data Integrity Testing:
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of healthcare data processed by the software, including data validation, transformation, and security.

Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, business analysts, and end-users, to understand requirements, resolve issues, and contribute to a seamless software development lifecycle.

Defect Reporting and Tracking:
Document and report software defects, anomalies, and issues using appropriate bug tracking tools, and work with the development team to facilitate their timely resolution.

Test Automation:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes and enhance efficiency.

Documentation:
Create and maintain accurate and detailed test documentation, including test cases, test data, test environments, and testing outcomes.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and enhanced testing methodologies within the healthcare software testing context.

Adherence to Compliance:
Ensure that healthcare software testing practices align with industry regulations and compliance standards, maintaining the security and privacy of sensitive healthcare data.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) and healthcare (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, Certified HIPAA Professional) are a plus.

Proven experience as a Software Tester with a focus on healthcare applications, including knowledge of healthcare regulations, data privacy, and security requirements.

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices, including manual

and automated testing.

Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, JIRA, or similar.

Proficiency in scripting or programming languages used in testing and automation, such as Python, Java, or others.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, document, and communicate defects and issues effectively.

Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in testing and reporting.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools.

Prior experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems, healthcare information exchange (HIE), or medical imaging software is a strong advantage.
