we are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud FinOps Analyst to optimize cloud spending improve financial governance and enhance cost transparency across our AWS environments The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills deep knowledge of AWS pricing and billing and the ability to partner with engineering and finance teams to drive cost efficiencyKey ResponsibilitiesAWS Cost Optimization AnalysisMonitor and analyse AWS spending across accounts services and business unitsIdentify cost optimization opportunities such as rightsizing Storage class optimization Reserved Instances Savings Plans purchasing and waste reductionEvaluate usage of key AWS services EC2 S3 RDS Lambda EKS CloudFront etc to identify cost drivers and optimization leversProvide actionable recommendations to engineering teams and track implementationFinOps Governance ReportingDevelop and maintain AWS cost dashboards using tools such as AWS Cost Explorer AWS Billing Console AWS Budgets CUR Cost Usage Reports and third party FinOps platformsManage AWS cost allocation chargeback show back models and tagging complianceDrive monthly quarterly cloud cost reviews with engineering product and finance leadersDevelop cloud budget forecasts and variance analysis reportsData Automation ToolingWork with AWS CUR data to build custom reports queries and dashboardsAutomate recurring cost analysis tasks using Python SQL or AWS services e g Athena Glue LambdaIntegrate cost and usage data with BI tools Power BI Tableau QuickSightCross Functional CollaborationPartner with Engineering DevOps SRE Procurement and Finance teams on AWS cost management initiativesAct as a subject matter expert on AWS cost best practices offering guidance on architectural design for cost efficiencyParticipate in AWS purchasing cycles and renewal discussions including Savings Plans and Enterprise Discount ProgramsRequired Skills Qualifications5 7 years of experience in Cloud FinOps Cloud Cost Management AWS Ops DevOps or Financial Analysis for cloud servicesStrong understanding of AWS pricing models billing constructs and discount options Savings Plans Reserved Instances Spot EDPHands on experience with AWS cost toolsAWS Cost ExplorerAWS BudgetsAWS Cost Usage Reports CURAWS Billing ConsoleExperience with cost management platforms such as CloudHealth Cloudability Apptio Flexera or HarnessStrong Excel skills and experience with BI tools Power BI QuickSight or TableauStrong analytical thinking and the ability to translate cost insights into recommendationsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsFinOps Certified Practitioner or Analyst certificationAWS certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner Solutions Architect Associate or SysOps AdministratorHands on experience with AWS services EC2 S3 RDS Lambda EKSScripting or programming experience Python SQLExperience working in large multi account AWS Organizations environment
