Role Overview:

With lakhs of customers, thousands of employees, and nationwide brand presence, legal risks span across customers, regulators, vendors, employees, advertising, and fundraising. We need a hands-on Legal Leader who can protect the brand, anticipate risks, and build a proactive legal shield for hypergrowth.

Key Responsibilities:

Litigation & Dispute Management

  • Handle disputes from customers, regulators, vendors/suppliers, employees, and landlords.
  • Draft responses, manage notices, and coordinate with external counsels.
  • Resolve 80% at the pre-litigation stage through amicable settlements; defend aggressively when required.

Contracts & Agreements

  • Draft/review contracts with vendors, agencies, landlords (clinic leases), employees, and consultants.
  • Negotiate clauses to safeguard Gynoveda's interests.
  • Build a centralised contract repository with version control & renewal alerts.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure statutory compliance with the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, DMROA, FSSAI, ASCI, Shops & Establishments Act, and Labour Laws.
  • Regularly review advertising materials, clinic operations, and HR policies.
  • Train Ops, Marketing, and HR teams to be "compliance by design".

Advisory & Strategic Projects

  • Legal advisory for M&A, fundraising, and investor diligence.
  • Support new property due diligence for clinics (lease, licenses, NDAs).
  • Maintain a legal data room (contracts, opinions, licenses, litigation).
  • Prepare investor-ready ESG compliance reports.

Proactive Risk Management

  • Anticipate risks across customer refunds, regulatory scrutiny, employee disputes, lease exits, and advertising violations.
  • Build legal SOPs and playbooks for recurring issues.
  • Liaise with external law firms for specialised matters (IP, litigation, corporate).

Candidature Requirements:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) Having a CS degree will be a plus.

  • Work-Ex:
    7–12 years in corporate legal with B2C national brands – healthcare

chains (IVF, hospitals, pharmacies, clinics), FMCG/food chains, or multi-city retail brands.

  • Track record:
    Multi-city legal exposure (litigation + compliance + contracts).

  • Style:
    Hands-on operator, detail-driven, hustler DNA. Not a passive advisor.
