Area Sales Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive sales and distribution objectives in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the FMCG Food & Beverage industry, with experience in channel management, team leadership, and market development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area.
- Manage and motivate a team of Sales Officers / Sales Executives to ensure effective coverage and sales performance.
- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors to ensure optimal product availability and secondary sales growth.
- Develop and implement area-specific sales strategies to increase market share.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure execution of marketing and promotional plans at the ground level.
- Maintain strong relationships with trade partners (retailers, distributors, stockists).
- Track and report sales performance metrics, market feedback, and channel health.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, systems, and compliance norms.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 3-5 years in FMCG Sales, preferably in the Food & Beverage segment.
- Education: Graduate (MBA/PGDM in Sales/Marketing will be an advantage).
- Strong network and understanding of the regional FMCG market (UP region).
- Proven ability to manage distributors and a sales team effectively.
- Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive CTC: 6 – 9 LPA (based on experience and fit).
