Job Overview

The Assistant Store Manager plays a key role in ensuring smooth store operations, driving sales performance, and leading the team through training and development. This role demands a balance of operational management, customer service excellence, and sales leadership to meet and exceed business targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Management

  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets for rentals and additional revenue streams.
  • Track sales performance and share daily/weekly reports with the Sales Head.
  • Identify sales opportunities and implement strategies to increase conversions.
  • Manage customer follow-ups for repeat bookings and referrals.

2. Store Management

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring adherence to SOPs.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
  • Coordinate with tailoring, dry-cleaning, and logistics teams for timely deliveries.
  • Monitor inventory levels, outfit condition, and initiate replenishments or repairs as needed.
  • Handle escalated customer queries with professionalism and problem-solving.

3. Team Training & Development

  • Train new and existing staff on customer service, sales techniques, and product knowledge.
  • Conduct regular role-play sessions for handling customer interactions.
  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Ensure staff are updated on new collections, styling trends, and brand policies.

4. Operational & Administrative Duties

  • Assist in preparing operational and sales reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with brand policies, health & safety guidelines, and service standards.
  • Maintain updated customer databases and ensure timely follow-ups.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    2–4 years in retail / fashion / luxury brand management, with exposure to sales leadership.
  • Education:
    Graduate in Fashion, Retail, or Business Management preferred.

Skills:

  • Proven sales management and team leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong fashion sense and styling capability.
  • Ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
