Job Summary:
The Insurance Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for insurance agents, advisors, and staff. The role ensures that employees are equipped with the necessary product knowledge, sales skills, regulatory updates, and customer service techniques to achieve business goals and maintain compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct induction and ongoing training sessions for insurance agents and employees.
- Develop training content on insurance products, sales techniques, underwriting, claims, and compliance.
- Train staff on IRDAI guidelines, company policies, and ethical selling practices.
- Assess training needs by interacting with managers and analyzing performance gaps.
- Use a variety of training methods such as classroom sessions, role plays, e-learning, and workshops.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through tests, feedback, and performance tracking.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to underperforming agents and new joiners.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive products.
- Maintain training records and prepare reports for management review.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align training with business goals.
Requirements:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (specialization in Insurance/Finance preferred).
- Certification in Insurance Training / IRDAI Training License (as applicable).
- 3–6 years of experience in training within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products (Life, Health, General) and regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and build confidence among trainees.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
