Senior Staff Systems Engineer

The Senior Staff Systems Engineer will work on the architecture & design of serial and bridge IC products which addresses a wide range of applications such as data center, enterprise, building / home automation, industrial automation, industrial connectivity etc. The engineer will participate in all stages of IC product development – proposal, design, development, testing / validation and productization. The candidate should possess a mix of technical expertise in serial and bridge systems engineering, bench validation, silicon debug and analog circuit design. Knowledge of power system architecture, buck-boost topologies, LDO architectures, high voltage design, capless LDOs and validation of power products is advantageous.

• Define system architecture and specifications of Serial / Bridge IC products based on marketing requirements. Deep involvement with Product specification by engaging with marketing team and customers.
• Bridge between Marketing/applications and design teams for defining product specifications.
• Perform system feasibility studies and build system models to evaluate product performance prior to silicon release.
• Conduct, participate and close top level system reviews, and provide regular updates to key stakeholders through documentation and presentations. Actively involved during all stages of IC development including design closure.
• Develop system test evaluation boards and test plans in accordance with industry standards for post-silicon product evaluation.
• Own and drive post-silicon bench validation / measurements and system characterization in accordance with signed-off test plans.
• Own and drive ESD and EFT testing in accordance with IEC and IEC standards.
• Own and drive post-silicon debugs.
• Write and own technical documents such as FMEA reports, Datasheets etc.
• Perform technical feasibilities, assess design trade-offs and IP choices with design team to define product architecture.
• Assist test, operations, validation and design teams during productization.
• Work together with key stakeholders such as marketing, design, product / test engineering, validation, applications engineering for smooth execution of product definition, development, bring-up and productization.
• Participate in hiring, candidate screening and interviewing activities to expand the team.
• Guide / mentor new hires and junior engineers within the team.

• BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in any of the following streams - Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation.
• 8-10 years of System Engineering experience for Serial / Bridge / Communication/Power IC products.
• Understanding on the following standards are desirable - RS-485/RS-422, RS232, USB, UART, I2C, GPIO, IEC , IEC etc.
•  Hands-on experience with lab equipments such as ooscilloscopes, function generators, digital multimeters, power supplies, single and differential probes, electronic loads, thermal streamer, dataloggers, network analyzers, EFT / ESD testing is desirable. Know how of validation automation using python or other industry standards.
•  Good knowledge in Cadence Allegro, Altium, Matlab, Simplis
