Role Overview

As a Salesforce Technical Architect, you will be the technical authority responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing complex Salesforce solutions that form the foundation of our products. You will guide development teams on best practices, ensure architectural integrity, and play a hands-on role in integrating AI, security, and performance optimization into our core offerings.

This role demands a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on architecture leadership across multiple Salesforce technologies and modern enterprise stacks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Design

• Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of enterprise-grade Salesforce products and solutions.
• Define multi-tenant, scalable, and high-performing architectural blueprints for Salesforce ISV applications.
• Evaluate and recommend design patterns, data models, integration approaches, and frameworks aligned with Salesforce best practices.
• Architect solutions for Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing, Platform, etc.) and custom-built product suites.

2. Technical Leadership

• Provide technical direction to engineering teams across the SDLC from design to deployment.
• Conduct technical reviews, performance audits, and optimization exercises for existing products.
• Mentor developers and lead design review boards to uphold technical quality standards.
• Establish and enforce coding guidelines, CI/CD standards, and release management processes.

3. Security & Compliance

• Design secure architectures adhering to Salesforce Shield, OAuth, SSO, encryption, and data privacy best practices.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2, etc.).
• Collaborate with security teams to build governance and auditing frameworks within Salesforce.

4. AI & Advanced Capabilities

• Lead integration of AI/ML capabilities using Salesforce Einstein, Einstein Copilot, and external LLMs via API frameworks.
• Architect predictive and generative AI use cases (recommendation systems, NLP-driven insights, intelligent workflows).
• Partner with data and AI teams to build AI-ready data architectures within Salesforce Data Cloud and CRM Analytics.

5. Integration & Optimization

• Define and oversee integration strategies with external systems using APIs, Middleware (MuleSoft, Heroku, AWS), and ETL tools.
• Optimize for query performance, API call limits, caching strategies, and asynchronous processing.
• Ensure data integrity, synchronization, and scalability across multi-org or multi-cloud environments.

6. Product Development Focus

• Collaborate with Product Managers and UX designers to shape the technical direction of ISV applications.
• Design AppExchange-compliant architectures ensuring security reviews and scalability requirements are met.
• Lead the technical evaluation of new Salesforce releases, incorporating relevant innovations into the product roadmap.

7. Migration : Possess deep knowledge and expertise in Salesforce data migration strategies including data mapping, data cleansing, validation and testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Salesforce Platform Mastery: Apex, LWC, Aura, Visualforce, SOQL, Platform Events, Flows, Integration Patterns.
• Architecture Patterns: MVC, Event-driven, Microservices, Domain-driven design, Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• Security: Salesforce Shield, OAuth 2.0, SSO, JWT, Encryption, Field-level security, Data Masking, and Compliance.
• AI & Analytics: Salesforce Einstein, Copilot, OpenAI integrations, Data Cloud, CRM Analytics (Tableau CRM).
• Integration & DevOps: REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, Heroku, AWS/Azure, Git, Jenkins, Copado, SFDX.
• Data & Performance Optimization: Large data volume (LDV) handling, async processing, caching, and governor limit optimization.

Experience

• 10+ years in software development, with 5+ years focused on Salesforce architecture and solution design.
• Proven experience designing and delivering Salesforce-based products (ISV or OEM experience preferred).
• Demonstrated success in technical leadership roles and mentoring engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise integrations, AI-enabled features, and secure application design.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) highly desirable
• Salesforce Application/Systems Architect
• Salesforce Platform Developer II
• Salesforce Data Cloud or Einstein certifications (plus)
• AWS / Azure Cloud Architecture certifications (optional but advantageous)
