Position Summary
This role is responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation and illustrations by leveraging mechanical engineering understanding. The position requires strong communication skills and close collaboration with subject-matter experts.
Work You'll Do
• Interpret engineering drawings and 3D models to develop accurate technical content
• Create clear technical documents and supporting illustrations
• Collaborate with and interview SMEs to gather inputs
• Organize and structure information effectively for various documentation outputs
• Ensure consistency, clarity, and quality across all technical materials
Team
You will be part of a technical documentation team that works closely with engineering, product, and SME groups to produce accurate and user-focused technical content.
Basic Qualifications
• 5–7 years of experience as a Technical Writer with a mechanical background
• Ability to understand engineering drawings and 3D models
• Ability to create technical writing and illustrations
• Ability to interview SMEs and translate inputs into documentation
• Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop
• Experience working in Windchill for document management
